Hello readers, thank you once again for stopping by.
Welcome to the penultimate day of NanoPoblano in this realm and my found poetry marathon.
I am thoroughly enjoying all of the poems that I have read and used as inspiration this month. I hope that you have all been enjoying yourselves too!
For tonight’s piece, I have delved into the works of another celebrated female poet and gone with something from the wonderful evocative words of Elizabeth Bishop.
You can find the lyrics to her poem “The Armadillo” below at Poetry Foundation, along with a further selection of her poems and her biography too.
And here is my found poem based on the words of Elizabeth Bishop’s poem, thank you for reading and hope you enjoy it.

“A Light That Comes And Goes” by David Ellis
Is time frail?
A light that comes and goes
Hearts against the sky
Stars that flare and steer steadily in the night
The flame flying, whirling all alone
Rose-flecked, ignited, dreamlike
Falling fire, ignorant sky
