Hello there friends.

Welcome to my Day 14 entry of National Poetry Writing Month.

I went off prompt again but if you do fancy tackling the challenge that they set out over over at the official NaPoWriMo.net website then here is their prompt for Day 14.

As for myself, I ended up writing a found love poem, based on the magnificent words of Ella Wheeler Wilcox and her delectable poem “Love’s Language”, you can find the lyrics to her poem here:-

“Love’s Language” by Ella Wheeler Wilcox over at familyfriend poems

And finally, here is my poem and thank you as always for reading 🙂

“Lips That Can Speak Wild Words” by David Ellis

In an eye, smile, a sigh

Uneven emotions make the dawn

In silence, when joy

Knows and names its spirit

The heart, tender, floods

With things to touch that thrill

In lips that can speak wild words

That seem so mighty, deep, warm

Sweeps through, delights

Where madness melts

In bliss of a kiss
