NaPoWriMo 2019 – Day 16 – “All Are Needed” by David Ellis – A Found Poem Inspired by “Each and All” by Ralph Waldo Emerson

Hey there friends, thank you for stopping by once again.

I’m still trailing behind by a couple of days on National Poetry Writing Month but I will keep doing my best to come up with the goods, perhaps I will even catch up before the end of the month! (talk about the king of wishful thinking)

If you want to play along with the official NaPoWriMo.net prompt regarding creating list poetry then here it is:-

NaPoWriMo.net – Day Sixteen prompt

Tonight, I myself have steered off prompt and instead gone down the route of a found poem inspired by “Each and All” by Ralph Waldo Emerson.

You can find the lyrics to that particular poem here:-

“Each and All” by Ralph Waldo Emerson over at Poetry Foundation

And now here is my found poem, as always thank you for reading! 🙂

“All Are Needed” by David Ellis

From the top looking down

Heard to charm, with delight

All are needed

Nothing is alone

From heaven, home

The song did bring

River and sky to my shore

Bubbles of pearls

Gave savage escape to treasures left

With the sun and the sand

Wild, woven by enchantment

Truth is eternal

Full of light

Beauty through senses

Perfect whole
