Hello fokilydokes.
Welcome to NaPoWriMo (National Poetry Writing Month) Day 25.
NaPoWriMo Day 25 – Look Alive!
Not much of an intro from me tonight, let’s just get down to it – it’s business time baby and I feel like sharing a few haikus with you!
“Friday Haikus” by David Ellis
Today you gave me sun
You also gave me the rain
Thanks but I’m no plant
The past is a ghost
It haunts me late in the night
Should have drank more wine
Time is limited
Please don’t waste any of it
Skip mains, eat dessert
Everything you want
Is on other side of fear
What a lousy deal
Start where you are now
Use everything that you have
Conquer challenges
Ask people questions
The more random the better
Ignore their answers
Enjoy what you do
I do everything for love
Money helps too though
I ignore diets
I start with earnest but
Cake is too sexy
Music cures all ills
It nourishes me deeply
Even Death Metal
Want happy endings?
Go to movies often then
Leave before the end
Pawsome Haiku! Woooowoooooo!
Thank you so much Ku 🙂 – please give my regards to your master Julianne – we really must do another collaboration very soon 😉
Such deep insights through Haiku…. 😉
Thanks Dawn – I really enjoy playing with motivational quotes, they are my favourite hunting ground for humour. Glad you enjoyed them 🙂
A number of these are my cup of tea 🙂 My guess is that you’ll like my misfortune cookies: http://unassortedstories.wordpress.com/2013/04/22/misfortune-cookies/
This one deserves a mention too:
Want happy endings?
Go to movies often then
Leave before the end
Lol I’m proud of that one. You can use it in real life too 🙂
The past is a ghost
we all end up toast
Too fun…and love “cake is too sexy”
Well it is elegant and refined 😉 – thanks for reading and commenting Melanie, appreciate it.
