Hey there everyone.
I’m participating in NaPoWriMo 2020, if you aren’t following the NaPoWriMo website already then go check it out at www.napowrimo.net.
For Day 2, the prompt over at the NaPoWriMo website is to imbue a poem with very specific little details about a specific place. Since they also referenced an impressive poet by the name of James Schuyler as inspiration, I therefore decided to write a found poem based on his magnificent poem “The Crystal Lithium”.
You can find the lyrics to “The Crystal Lithium” by James Schuyler over at Poetry Foundation
Here is my own found poem, thank you for reading and good luck with all of your NaPoWriMo adventures throughout this month!

“Between Marble Condensed” by David Ellis
The smell of the wind
Mixed with uplifting, buoying, bright waves
Unexpected, sitting, thinking
Biting at the taste of invisible salt
Between marble condensed, glittering
A promise of blue flames, on red grains of sand
Into a pattern, naked with electricity
Lightning, desiring, eclipsing, shimmering
Diagonal softness of roses
Disgorging, dressed with a smile
Steamy skyline, full of the familiar
And the landscape of the past
Among dizzying, lovely passion
Edging to bury a future inviting memory
The kiss, which leaves warmth
Too much perspective
Itself a colour, nature, silvers, black
We stare at what is beyond
Happiness, love, mixed with change
The ocean was our eyes
If you write any inspirational poetry then you should check out Auroras & Blossoms Poetry Journal. They are working on a special anthology issue focusing on inspirational poetry written during the period of NaPoWriMo this year! For more information, check out their submission guidelines here.

A touch of everywhere, but somewhere special.
Thank you for the tip off about the journal too.
TY for reading Christopher! You are welcome regarding the journal, you write wonderful poetry, we would love to see you submit to us for the Anthology and/or our general issues too! 😉
I love this! I especially love the last line.
I actually start the poem with the ending and worked backwards. It is my favourite line of the whole thing too 🙂
A beautiful poem. I loved it.
Thank Anita, I appreciate you taking the time to read it 🙂
