Day Twenty-Six – NanoPoblano – Poem/Poetry – “Why Did You Change? Why Stay The Same?” by David Ellis

Hey there ladies and gentlemen, welcome, welcome.

It’s Day Twenty-Six of NanoPoblano AKA National Blog Posting Month (but with a bunch of fruity peeps known as Cheer Peppers) and I’m back with another video full of wonder and excitement.

Check out the Facebook Live performance of my latest poem.

Once again, I’ve been browsing through the forms on the Shadow Poetry website and this time decided to go with one called a Constanza. For more information regarding their genetic structure then take a look here:-

Also, since I such a nice chappie, here are some other alternative prompts to help you jam and boogie with your own poetry construction conundrums:-

“Why Did You Change? Why Stay The Same?” By David Ellis

Embrace brighter sides of life’s highs
Does the heart truly rule the mind?
Lips speak, so sweet, potent as wine

Immersive longing in our eyes
Ghostly touch of kisses whispered
Reminisce, drink deep, lust’s thirst quenched

For now, there are no easy rides
Laughter and sighs, all devouring
No fears of falling or flying

The sea carries us to the skies
Passions are born and drown in flames
Why did you change? Why stay the same?

Nature never fails to surprise
As long as there’s blood in our veins
Give delight and respect free rein

Still want more? Keep calm, I’ve got some more tasty treats up my sleeves full of sugar and spice. How about some other Day Twenty-Six posts by talented ladies and men who are also participating in the Pepper challenge throughout this month 🙂
