Hello there everyone.
I’ve been at it again and had a go at joining in the fun over at Colleen Chesebro’s website for her “Colleen’s 2020 Weekly Tanka Tuesday Poetry Challenge”.
Tonight, I am attempting to write a Butterfly Cinquain poem.
I’m also going to make this a found poem as well. Since the prompt was to use the words “Love & Harmony”, I ended up using the poem “Love & Harmony” by William Blake as my inspiration for my own poem.
You can find the lyrics to “Love & Harmony” here.
Now, here is my Found Butterfly Cinquain poem, thank you for reading!
“The Virtue Beneath Our Feet” – A Found Butterfly Cinquain Poem by David Ellis
Our souls
Mix with our roots
Singing sweet innocence
The golden fruit, in flowers, sweet
Perfume
The air, she sits and feeds her song
Lovely leaves, lay away
The day, among
Branches
If you too want to participate in the challenge yourself then you can find the link to the current one here:-

Look forward to reading your own poetry, if you choose to submit to the challenge! 🙂
You have written an amazing butterfly cinquain. Your imagery is spot on and I love where you got your inspiration with the “found” poem. Well done!!
