Here is a gorgeous poem written by my good friend Shruti, it is very deep and has a marvellous chorus. If you don’t subscribe to her blog then you should do so soon!
I don’t have many wishes
Or so I think
But, the few I have
Are a bit too big
I don’t want to have a mausoleum
Built in my name
But, I want to stay in a heart
That forever whispers my name
I don’t have many wishes
Or so I think
But, the few I have
Are a bit too big
I don’t want to have
Flowers on my grave
But, I want to be the thought
That never leaves someone’s mind
I don’t want to be a legacy
For one and all
But, I want my friends to smile
When they recall the happy times
I don’t have many wishes
Or so I think
But, the few I have
Are a bit too big
I don’t want to have roads
Named after my name
But, I want the ones I once loved
But, didn’t till the end
To weep once…
