I’ve used a photo prompt and some inspirational words provided by the wonderful, amazingly talented, special lady in my life that I wanted to share with you all.

Soft gossamer clouds
Smooth as creamiest silk
Converging on to a barren shore
Worlds emerge and collide
A prophesy unfolds and unwinds

The mystery is stirring
In an ancient land
Time has once forsaken
Two lovers spending an eternity
Lost in each other’s twinkling eyes

Holding eager, wandering hands
A fizzy cocktail of devotion
Consummate immersion
Across a windswept, unkempt
Yet hauntingly beautiful horizon

The path that lies ahead
Both romantic and obscured
Allows them to focus purely on
What life means most to them

An ocean of serene calm
Washing all over their bodies
Cleansing deep to the core
Stimulating senses from lives lived
Hundreds of years before

With each step
And every breath they both take
They appreciate the power
Of a myriad of subtle moments
Engulfing them, bit by bit
Dining on each other’s company

For they know no fear
Their hearts are filled
With so much more, complete euphoria
Wandering off into the languorous sunset
Taking new adventures in their stride
Nothing can hurt them as they remain
Side by side, forever entwined
