Hello everyone.
Welcome to NaPoWriMo Day 4.
Here is the official prompt over at the National Poetry Writing Month website:-
NaPoWriMo.net – 30 Poems In 30 Days – Day 4
So for this particular prompt, the challenge is to write a love poem without using the word love.
Yes, you heard me right, I didn’t believe them either. Somebody has probably been drinking over there, that’s for sure (I jest of course!)
Feel free to leave me a comment below and if you are not on the list, I will be happy to add your NaPoWriMo poem(s) to my list, feel free to get in touch.
“Finding The Paradox” by David Ellis
Not sure how much my heart can hold
Kisses stolen like there is no tomorrow
In the beginning, a flame arose
An outlet required for it to evolve
Finding the paradox once and for all
Offering a slow, sensual dance as it unfolds
The only reality is that circumstances change
Waves, the tides turning, nothing stays the same
Touch is a source that constantly restores existence
The world can be such a hard habit to break
Learning by paying attention, whatever the stakes
Smallest details can make the biggest difference
It is easy to hate how things may not work out
Future’s not written but the past is just words
Speak with a fierce integrity and you will find
Everyone should have positive influences in their life
And in the end, if flames anew flare into a fire
With hope becoming a replacement for fear
Let’s be optimistic and see this through
Give yourself generously without fail
Keep your heart and mind wide open
Only then will you be ready for the right person

I love the way you find a path that leads past real vistas…
Vistas? I also accept Mastercard, American Express and Diner’s Club. Thank for your comment Art, I always enjoy taking the scenic route 🙂
Is Diner’s Club sill a thing?
Apparently so although I’ll stick with my gold bullion under the mattress
lumpy but firm
Lovely!!
