This is without a doubt the best pasta poem ever! It’s positively stuff full of gemellis π Normally I am quite pici with poems but this sliced my funny bone to ribbons.
Also, Brian Bilston has a book of poetry published called “You Took The Last Bus Home”. His poems are intricate, witty and humorous, I cannot recommend his work enough but I will try to do so anyway π
She blew her fusilli,
my pretty penne,
when she found me watching
daytime tagliatelle.
Je ne spaghetti rien,
I responded in song,
but she did not linguini
for long,
just walked out
without further retort:
a hard lesson to be tortellini,
orzo I thought.
And so here I am
on my macaroni
and now my days
feel cannelloni.
OMG (oh my gnocchi), this poem should win a trofie.
Lol I adore puns as much as pasta, so this comment went down very well π
